Creating an email link in Kupu

The following tutorial assumes:

  1. You are logged into your Plone website
  2. You are at the web page and ready to edit its content and to create the email link

If both of the above steps are true, then continue with the following steps:

  1. Highlight the email that you want to link to
    1 Highliting the email
  2. From the Kupu toolbar, click on the button that looks like a "planet". This button will allow you to insert an "External Link"
    2 External Link Button
  3. At the External Link window, delete the "http" and instead, type "mailto:user email address", which in this case I'm using "doe.1@cfaes.osu.edu" as email address, so the final product will be as "mailto:doe.1@cfaes.osu.edu" (please type it without the quotation marks).
    3 External Link Window
  4. Click on the "Ok" button located on the right bottom side of the External Link window.
    4 Ok button
  5. Then to save the changes that you have made to the content you are editing, you need to click on the "Save" buttton located button of the screen
    5 Save Button
  6. Now it is time to review the Email link that you just created
6 Email Link viewing the changes
  7. As final you need to click on the Email Link you created to test if it works. And it does!
    7 Testing the Email Link
